Chris Inskip from CAI Appliances is walking the Everest base camp in April 2023 to support the Starlight Foundation. Despite the challenge of a previous spinal surgery, disc degeneration disease and multiple desiccated disc, Chris is ready to take on the big challenge.
Arriving in Australia in 2016, Chris was able to build a new life with success. He was able to get his Australian citizenship in September, which marked a symbol of an accepting community. Due to this, Chris was compelled to give back to the community by helping sick kids get a normal life, regardless of all difficulties.
Starlight’s programs are integral to the care of seriously ill children, teenagers and their families.

Just because you’re sick doesn’t mean you stop being a child. It shouldn’t mean missing out on all the fun and happiness of childhood. That’s why, since 1988 Starlight has helped sick kids simply be kids.
Starlight is serious about fun because research shows that happiness and health go hand-in-hand. Starlight delivers a healthy dose of happiness to boost the health and wellbeing of sick kids.
They work in partnership with health professionals. Our programs are the result of extensive research to meet the specific needs of kids and teens.
Starlight is the broadest reaching children’s charity in Australia. Last year we created over half a million Starlight experiences for sick kids and their families. We support kids of all ages, regardless of their illness or injury.
Starlight relies solely on the dedication of our generous supporters to be able to spread so much happiness. We would be delighted if you could support this amazing event to help us brighten the lives of more seriously ill children, young people and their families.
